Wildkogel Arena Ski Area
The Wildkogel Arena is a varied and well-organised ski area that is especially popular with families and those seeking a relaxed winter sports experience. Located between the famous ski regions of Kitzbühel and the Zillertal Arena, it offers around 75 kilometres of pistes, ranging from wide, gentle slopes to more challenging red runs. Thanks to modern lift facilities and altitudes of up to 2,100 metres, snow conditions are generally very reliable.
One of the absolute highlights of the Wildkogel Arena is the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world: an impressive 14-kilometre descent that leads all the way down to the village of Bramberg. The area is also very family-friendly, with excellent facilities such as beginner areas, ski schools and children’s parks.
Cross-country skiers can enjoy approximately 45 kilometres of well-maintained trails through the beautiful winter landscape. For those looking for even more variety, the nearby ski areas of the Zillertal Arena and KitzSki offer hundreds of additional kilometres of pistes.
A major advantage of this chalet is its location: the property is situated approximately 200 metres from the Smaragdbahn gondola, which takes you directly into the Wildkogel Arena ski area. This means you can be on the slopes within minutes and ski back close to the chalet at the end of the day.

In the centre of Bramberg am Wildkogel you will find a Spar supermarket, perfect for doing your daily grocery shopping during your stay. The store is well organised and offers a wide selection of well-known brands as well as local Austrian products, including fresh bread, regional cheeses and meats.
Spar is especially appreciated for its in-store bakery, where you can pick up freshly baked bread rolls and sweet treats in the morning. The supermarket also stocks a good range of fresh fruit and vegetables and everything you need for breakfast, lunch or dinner in your chalet.

Krimml Waterfalls
The Krimml Waterfalls are located in Hohe Tauern National Park, on the border between Tyrol and the federal state of Salzburg. With a total drop of 380 meters, the Krimml Waterfalls are the largest in Central Europe and the fifth highest in the world. In 1967, the Krimml Waterfalls were awarded a certificate for nature conservation by the Council of Europe.
The source of the waterfall is the Krimmler Ache, which plunges down in three stages at the end of the high-altitude Krimmler Achental at 1,460 meters above sea level. The Krimmler Ache is a glacial stream, which means the volume of water varies greatly. In June and July, about 20,000 cubic meters per hour flow through it, while in February this is “only” 500 cubic meters per hour.
The upper stage of the waterfall has a drop of 140 meters, the middle stage 100 meters, and the lower stage again 140 meters. After the upper waterfall, there is a short flat section known as the “Schönangerl.” The middle waterfall is considered the most beautiful; from there, you have a magnificent view of both the upper stage of the waterfall and the nearby valley.

Heel fijn huisje op loop afstand van de gondel, heel fijn dat er zoveel ruimte was en dat het ruime slaapkamers waren en veel douche mogelijkheden.
Heerlijk huisje om met onze familie in te verblijven, niet iedereen ging mee de piste op en dan is het fijn dat je zo het dorp in loopt!
Ruim en comfortabel huisje, gezellig woonkamer en alles is aanwezig in de keuken, zelfs de stamper voor de Nederlandse stamppot.
